Dr. Grein's office has a friendly and experienced staff. Feel free to read the bios and get to know the people who are there from the moment you walk in our door.

Ingrid Sturk Schultz, RDH

I was born in Lansing, Michigan and raised in Okemos. I attended University of Michigan and Olivet College. I graduated from Lansing Community College in the first class of Dental Hygiene in 1972.

I have been married for 29 years to my wonderful husband, Will, a Veterinarian in Okemos. I have 4 children, Will II, Kari, John and Joe. I also have 3 beautiful grandchildren, Tyler, Georgia and Kala. I am soon to be a grandmother again in September '08 of twin boys.

Besides being a part-time office manager, bookkeeper for my husband's veterinary practice I have managed to be involved in other activities. Over the years I have been President of the OAKS athletic program in Okemos, a Girl Scout Leader and a coach of basketball and softball for kids. Raising four children kept me very involved in the community. My interests are quilting, knitting, crafts, travel and photography. Most of my travel lately involves seeing grandchildren out of state, although I hope to travel soon to Sweden to visit my relatives there.

I have worked for Dr. Grein since October 1980. I work in the practice 2 days per week. Over those 27 ½ years, great patient relationships and friendships have developed and grown. Throughout my dental hygiene career, it has always been, and will continue to be my goal to give my patients optimal dentalcare and dental education in a great environment.

Katie Hernandez, RDA

I am a Registered Dental Assistant who is now Dr. Grein's office manager. I have been with Dr. Grein for over 7 years and have a passion for dentistry. I love to answer questions. I hope when you walk into our office you feel calm, comfortable and welcome. When I am not at the office I love spending time with my family. I have a 3 1/2 year-old daughter Savannah, a 13 year-old stepson Devin, and a wonderful husband, Daniel. We all love to go to my parent's house on Perch Lake and going to the local parks for hiking and exploring. My second love will always be crafts. Feel free to ask me where my next craft show will be.

Lana Reis

I started working for Dr. Grein in 1990. I had just graduated from the dental assisting program offered at LCC. Through the years I've had two children (Jourdan and Tony) who are now16 and 14. I've really enjoyed our patients, and watching their own families grow and expand. I feel we offer a caring, and amiable atmosphere through our dental office. If anyone wants to talk about their vacations or snorkeling my ears are available.

Lucy Reeves, RDH

Lucy graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dental Hygiene with a BS degree AND married Dan Reeves in 1968. After living in Pontiac, a stint in East Lansing, and then North Muskegon, Dan and Lucy moved to East Lansing again in 1976. She started working for Dr. Grein in March of 1980.

She and Dan have a son, Mark, who is a Clinical Psychologist. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Rachel who graduated from MSU's Vet School. They have an adorable daughter named Bryden and live in Tallahassee, Florida. That's been a yearly vacation destination since 1999.

So many years of working in one dental office have made it possible to meet hundreds of people and making many friends along the way. She also works in another East Lansing dental office one day a week.

Being a dental hygienist for Dr. Grein has been a rewarding and enriching experience and we hope to continue our long-standing relationship for a few more years to come.

Marcus Allen, RDH

My name is Marcus, I am a Registered Dental Hygienist and have worked with Dr. Grein since 2003! Originally from Detroit, MI, I moved to East Lansing to pursue dentistry attending Michigan State University. MSU led me to my current career in dental hygiene and my tenure within the Registered Dental Hygiene program completed at Lansing Community College in May of 2002.

Concerning teeth, I enjoy what happens in the chair with patient education and administering thorough dental care as well as the prospect of meeting new people and hopefully making a difference in their health! At any time during your tenure (current or future) in our office, allow us to offer any counsel on questions regarding oral health or any topic that comes to mind. Thank you for choosing us, our office appreciates your desire for thorough dental health!
